The Inner Garden: When the Therapist Becomes a Gardener

Imagine a magnificent garden, lush with possibilities. Every flower, every tree, every blade of grass represents untapped potential. This garden is you. And me? I'm just the gardener, patient and attentive.

Who hasn't thought that the therapist or coach was there to "save" their clients?

Think again. We are not magicians with a healing wand. No, we are gardeners, and our role is much more subtle.

So, what do we really do?

We create an environment conducive to growth. Like a gardener preparing the soil, we offer a space of safety, nourished by our kindness, our gentleness, our listening. It's in this fertile ground that you can plant the seeds of your own transformation.

We weave a connection. Like the invisible roots that link plants together, this connection is essential. It anchors you, supports you, nourishes you.

We are patient. Like the gardener who knows that each plant has its own growth rhythm, we understand that your evolution has its own tempo.

But the real magic? It's in you. 100%.

You are the seed that contains all the potential of a majestic tree. You are the flower that has the strength to break through the soil to bloom in the sun. You are the entire ecosystem of your own inner garden.

Our role is simply to activate this potential. To water when needed, to prune gently when necessary, to help you turn towards the light that will make you grow.

In this garden that is our therapeutic relationship, love is the sun that warms, the rain that nourishes, the wind that strengthens. It's this love that creates a safe space where we can grow together.

And you, dear gardeners of your own life, what are your experiences in cultivating your inner garden? What seeds have you planted recently? What flowers have you seen bloom?

Gardeningly yours,

Carmen
